LOS ANGELES, May 26 (UPI) -- The divorce between Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has been finalized.

A year after the two celebrities announced their "conscious uncoupling," they are legally single, according to E! News.

Paltrow and Martin were married for a little over a decade before their split. They have two children together: 12-year-old Apple and 10-year-old Moses. Because of their children, the two have maintained an amicable relationship and have expressed their desire to remain close.

In a recent interview while promoting her latest book, Paltrow said she and Martin "still do love each other." She previously referred to her ex-husband as a "brother."

In 2014, Paltrow announced her split from Martin on her lifestyle website, Goop.

"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate," Paltrow wrote at the time.

"We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been. We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children and we ask for their and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time. We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and coparent, we will be able to continue in the same manner," she added.
