CHICAGO, May 20 (UPI) -- Oprah Winfrey has detailed her success using dieting program Weight Watchers.

"I feel like I'll be counting points for the rest of my life," the television mogul said of sticking with the program during a conference call for Weight Watchers members.

Since starting Weight Watchers in August, Winfrey has shed 26 pounds. "I genuinely feel that it's been easier this time than the other 3,000 times I've gone on a diet because I don't even feel like it is a diet. I just feel like, 'OK, my life has changed,'" she continued.

Winfrey was honest and open during the call admitting that sometimes she does take a "little bite" out of food that is unhealthy but that overall, she is able to maintain a healthy balance of diet and exercise.

"Yesterday, I knew I was going to be having General Tso's chicken for dinner, so I did an extra 30 minutes of exercise and then I walked the dogs around a couple of more times," she added. "It's not something I feel like I'm on or I'm off."

As a result of her weight-loss, Winfrey bought a 10 percent stake in Weight Watchers in October as membership numbers and stock prices dwindled. The news caused the company's stocks to rise.

"Inside every overweight woman is a woman she knows she can be. Many times you look in the mirror and you don't even recognize your own self because you got lost, buried in the weight that you carry," Winfrey says in a commercial ad for Weight Watchers after becoming the company's spokesperson in December.

"Nothing you've ever been through is wasted. So every time I tried and failed, every time I tried again, and every time I tried again, has brought me to this most powerful moment to say, 'If not now, when?' I feel that way, and I know millions of other people feel that way. Are you ready? Let's do this together," she continues.

In March, Winfrey graced the cover of O Magazine showing off her new figure alongside fans of the magazine.
