CANNES, France, May 18 (UPI) -- Blake Lively offended fans with a questionable Instagram caption Tuesday in Cannes.

The 28-year-old actress posted a picture of herself from the Café Society premiere at the 2016 Cannes International Film Festival, writing, "L.A. face with an Oakland booty."

Lively's caption is a lyric from the Sir Mix-A-Lot hit "Baby Got Back," which the rapper once told Huff Post Entertainment celebrates black women's bodies. Fans called the post racially insensitive and emblematic of Lively's white privilege.

"Another day, another rich white woman using WOC's bodies as a punchline and commodity. As if Blake Lively wasn't the worst already," one social media user wrote.

"I want to follow Blake Lively just to unfollow after this LA/Oakland business. So much privilege even Goop feels uncomfortable," another person added.

Lively's post follows controversy about her appearance in Café Society, which opened the film festival last week. The movie is directed by Woody Allen, who is accused of sexual abuse by his daughter Dylan Farrow.

Allen's son Ronan Farrow slammed the media and Allen's collaborators in an essay prior to Café Society's premiere, suggesting news outlets haven't given due attention to his sister's claims.

"The old-school media's slow evolution has helped create a culture of impunity and silence," Ronan wrote. "Actors, including some I admire greatly, continue to line up to star in his movies."

"[Lively and Kristen Stewart] can trust that the press won't ask them the tough questions," he said. That kind of silence is just wrong. It's dangerous. It sends a message to victims that it's not worth the anguish of coming forward."

Café Society opens in theaters July 15. Lively, who is pregnant with her second child by husband Ryan Reynolds, is also slated for The Shallows.
