WASHINGTON, April 28 (UPI) -- Star Wars fans can now watch four new short films from the Lego Star Wars universe, outlining stories that happened before Episode VII, The Force Awakens.

The featured Lego characters include the memorable Poe Dameron, Admiral Ackbar, Kylo Ren, C-3PO and BB-8, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Rey and more.

The first short in the series, "Poe to the Rescue," first premiered on Disney XD before being uploaded to the Toys "R" Us YouTube channel. It follows Dameron, C-3PO and BB-8 as they attempt to rescue Admiral Ackbar from the Star Destroyer.

The clip also features the dangerous Captain Phasma and a new take on battling Stormtroopers.

The second episode, "The Trouble with Rathtars," sees longtime buddies Han Solo and Chewbacca struggling to contain a group of illegal Rathtars -- nasty aliens sporting teeth and tentacles. The two accidentally tip off the First Order and an intense chase ensues.

"Hunting for Han," the third episode in the newly released sequence, takes place at Maz Kanata's castle, where the pirate trades with Bala Tik. Tik demands to know the whereabouts of Han Solo after the Rathtar incident, which prompts a crazy bar fight.

The final short film, "Rey Strikes Back," features the gifted scavenger, Rey, as she attempts to trade ship parts for the tools and pieces she needs to finish refurbishing a ship. The angry trader Unkar Plutt schemes to get rid of the persistent digger, but Rey eventually wins a chase against two clumsy henchmen.

Additional Lego Star Wars prequel episodes, according to Slash Film, are expected to air once again on Disney XD instead of Toys "R" Us.
