Tina Fey, Tituss Burgess perform 'You're Nothing Without Me' duet

NEW YORK, April 6 (UPI) -- Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt co-creator Tina Fey and star Tituss Burgess took the stage recently to perform a special duet.

Appearing together at the MCC Theater Miscast Gala on Monday, the duo sang big-band number "You're Nothing Without Me" from the classic Broadway musical City of Angles.

"This isn't the time to try and take my moment," Burgess said onstage at the gala, referring to Fey who then responded, "Tituss, I am your moment."

The pair then exchanged lyrics from the song, which revolves around a screenwriter arguing with a protagonist he created, similar to the relationship Burgess and Fey share as writer and actor for their Netflix show.

"Your brain only holds thoughts I put in there," Fey sang, with Burgess firing back, "Go home and soak your dentures." The friends and collaborators then ended the performance with a hug.

Burgess and Fey will return for Season 2 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt April 15 on Netflix.
