TAMPA, Fla., March 28 (UPI) -- Alex Rodriguez appeared to confirm his relationship with 23andMe CEO Anne Wojcicki on Sunday.
The 40-year-old New York Yankees infielder and 42-year-old entrepreneur were spotted on a lunch date at Green Lemon restaurant in Tampa, Fla., where the Yankees are in the midst of spring training.
The rumored couple were casually affectionate, holding hands while Wojcicki put an arm around Rodriguez's shoulders. Sources told TMZ the pair stayed at the restaurant for more than an hour.
Rodriguez previously dated actresses Kate Hudson and Cameron Diaz and split from WWE Diva Torrie Wilson in 2015. He was married to Cynthia Scurtis from 2002 to 2008 and shares two daughters, Natasha and Ella, with his ex-wife.
Wojcicki, meanwhile, was wed to Sergey Brin from 2007 to 2015, and shares two children, Benji and Chloe, with the Google co-founder. She is the sister of YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki and co-founded 23andMe in 2006.
Rodriguez and Wojcicki's lunch date came just days after the Yankees star announced he will retire at the end of the 2017 season. The athlete explained his decision to ESPN, saying, "It is time for me to go home and be a dad."
