LOS ANGELES, March 25 (UPI) -- Melissa Fumero and husband David Fumero welcomed their first child Thursday.
The 33-year-old actress and 43-year-old actor announced they are proud parents to a son named Enzo, telling People their baby boy has "a lot of dark hair."
Fumero and David Fumero met on the set of One Life to Live, where they played Adriana Cramer and Cristian Vega, and married in 2007. The actress announced her pregnancy in November and later told People she was having a son.
"This was all kind of a surprise," she said of her pregnancy. "My husband and I have been together a long time, so it's very special for us and we're just really happy and excited."
"I'm excited to be active and do sports with him," she added. "My husband and I are both active people, and so I think it's going to be really fun to do all the stuff that we already like to do with him, like teach him how to surf and go hiking."
Fumero celebrated her son's impending birth at a baby shower in February and shared a photo from the occasion on Instagram. The actress thanked her friends for "a wonderful shower," saying she feels like "the luckiest girl in the world."
Fumero plays Amy Santiago on Fox comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which was renewed for a fourth season the same day as Enzo's birth. David Fumero portrays Mike Sandoval on Starz series Power, which will return for a third season in 2016.
