LOS ANGELES, March 18 (UPI) -- Ne-Yo and wife Crystal Renay showed off their son in new photos Thursday on Instagram.
The 36-year-old singer and Renay introduced Shaffer Chimere Smith, Jr., on social media after welcoming the infant Tuesday, March 15.
"Allow me to introduce you all Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr! I am so in love with this lil man! Now I know what it means to have your heart walk around outside of your body," Renay wrote.
"Thank you @neyo for the greatest gift in the world! Love you to the moon and back daddy! #HeIsPerfect #PrinceSJ #Everythang!" she added.
"Welcome to the world lil' man," Ne-Yo said on his own page. "You got a big family lookin' out for you, immediate and extended. And we all love you to death. Gonna do everything in my power to make sure all my children never need for anything ever."
Ne-Yo and Renay have been together since early 2014 and married in Ranchos Palos Verdes, Calif., last month. The couple welcomed their son, nicknamed SJ, after Renay underwent an emergency C-section to give birth.
"It was the scariest delivery ever," she previously told fans. "With the help of my amazing doctor @drsherryr and my super calming husband @neyo I was able to get through it all and come out with the best reward in the world... SJ!"
Ne-Yo is also dad to 5-year-old daughter Madilyn and 4-year-old son Mason with his ex-fiancée, Monyetta Shaw. The singer last released Non-Fiction in January, which peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.
