NEW YORK, March 11 (UPI) -- Actress Diane Kruger think although she lives an "accomplished" life, she was an "idiot" during her twenties.
"I didn't have a great private life until recently," she told the luxury fashion magazine. "I was always looking for the next thing. But when I turned 30, I realized I was being an idiot. I was living this accomplished life: I speak three languages, I've traveled the world, made good money. I realized that I really don't know anything about what is going on in the world around me -- and [I was] not so great about [knowing] myself, either."
The 39-year-old Maryland (Disorder) actress said added she is "not too self-centered," now.
On starting a family, Kruger says although she just moved to the United States, she sees herself raising a family and growing old in Europe.
"I feel very European and I think that I'm going to grow old in Paris," she said. "I have this fantasy of raising my kids there one day. I just can't imagine living my life sipping cocktails at the Chateau Marmont, you know?"
Kruger, who was married to Guillaum Canet between 2001 and 2006, says marrying her longtime boyfriend is her latest "dilemma," not adding much else.
In 2012, Jackson chimed in to Us Weekly about a possible wedding between the two, saying "Marriage is important for the people it's important for, but neither one of us is particularly religious, so I don't think there's any particular push" [to get married.] "But never say never!" he added, "I don't know."
