Duggar family tells Josh: 'Your best days can be ahead of you'

TONTITOWN, Ark., March 3 (UPI) -- Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar posted a Facebook message Thursday wishing their troubled son, Josh, a happy birthday.

"Today is our son Josh's birthday. The heartache of the past year cannot surpass the joy 28 years ago on this day when we first became parents!" they said.

"We love you Josh and believe your best days can be ahead of you. We continue to pray for you every day."

The devoutly Christian family starred in the popular docu-series 19 Kids & Counting, which was canceled last year after the public became aware that Josh had molested young female relatives more than a decade ago when he was a teen. He later confessed to cheating on his wife Anna with several women, as well.

He has been undergoing treatment for sex addiction for several months.
