NEW YORK, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Shane McMahon is getting into fighting shape training with striking coach Phil Nurse ahead of his match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania.
Sharing a post-workout video on social media Wednesday alongside Nurse, McMahon looks exhausted after an intense sparring session that left a deep cut around his knee.
"Post workout stretch with my Muay Thai coach, the Trainer of Champions @AjarnPhilNurse," WWE's prodigal son wrote on Twitter alongside the clip.
"You working hard for that," Nurse can be heard saying in the background, referring to the wound.
Nurse is a noted Muay Thai striking coach known for training former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones at the star of his career.
McMahon returned to WWE in surprising fashion Monday after being gone for six years. The former heir to the throne confronted his father, Vince McMahon, demanding control of the company's flagship show, Raw.
Vince agreed if only Shane can win a match at WrestleMania against none other than the Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match. With a legendary WrestleMania record of 22-1, The Undertaker is near unbeatable at the event and represents the near impossible odds Shane faces. Despite this, he still agreed to the match, determined to take his rightful place at the company.
WrestleMania takes place April 3 in Dallas, Texas.
