LOS ANGELES, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Chrissy Teigen's baby bump took center stage at the 2016 Grammy Awards on Monday.

The 30-year-old model, who is pregnant with her first child by husband John Legend, showed off her growing belly with the 37-year-old singer by her side.

Teigen showcased her bump in a fitted white gown with a sheer, embellished cape. Legend tenderly held his wife's belly as they posed for photos on the red carpet.

"We're definitely going to embrace the bump, in whichever way we do," Teigen said of her outfit Friday. "Because I think when you hide it, it's just ... I don't know. I want to see it, I like it. I personally like it."

Teigen and Legend married in 2013 and announced the model's pregnancy in October. The couple are expecting a daughter before the summer and discussed their growing family with E! News at the ceremony.

"It's weird because we don't really know what to expect. We're just kind of like, 'I don't know. We'll see,'" Legend said before Teigen added, "We'll be surprised. We're just going to let it happen. She's going to fall right out and then we're good."

Teigen said she's received fertility and maternity fashion advice from friend and reality star Kim Kardashian, who welcomed her second child, son Saint West, with Kanye West in December. She previously told InStyle Australia Kardashian advised her to "go stretchy."

"I always wanted to be the person who showed off the bump because it looks beautiful and I think you should embrace it," the model said. "Kim does that well and I love seeing that belly of hers and I know Kanye does too -- we're lucky to be with men who find pregnancy sexy."

Teigen is known for her modeling work with Sports Illustrated and co-hosting Spike TV series Lip Sync Battle with LL Cool J. Legend last released Love in the Future in 2013 and won Best Song Written for Visual Media for "Glory" at the Grammys.
