LOS ANGELES, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Liam Neeson is reportedly seeing a new special someone.

The 63-year-old Irish actor opened up about his personal life in an interview with the Irish Independent published Sunday. Neeson confirmed he's dating, but declined to name his love interest.

"I'd embarrass her if I said her name, she's incredibly famous," the star allowed. "I'll have to do my best for her. It's amazing how far a simple bunch of freshly-picked flowers will go in a lady's life, I find."

Neeson was married to English actress Natasha Richardson, who died of injuries from a ski accident at age 45 in 2009. The couple were wed nearly 15 years, and the actor admitted his wife's death is "still a touchy subject."

"Of course the grief is still there. You do your best," he said. "I had many little letters, beautiful little cards scrawled from people after her death. I still have them and they are very meaningful. It is really touching. In your soul you know that there are people out there caring for you."

Neeson and Richardson share two sons, 20-year-old Micheal and 19-year-old Daniel, the elder of whom has also pursued acting. Neeson shared a memory of Richardson on My Favorite Song in January, revealing she sang "Crazy Love" at their 1994 wedding.

"It's a romantic ballad," he explained of the Van Morrison song. "Behind my back, Natasha had been taking singing lessons to sing it to me. After the ceremony, we were all going in to start the night's festivities and she grabbed the microphone and sang me this."

Neeson is slated for a number of upcoming projects, including Silence with Adam Driver, A Monster Calls with Felicity Jones and Felt with Maika Monroe. He will also star in The Commuter and Operation Chromite.
