Chrissy Teigen 'more confident' since pregnancy

NEW YORK, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Chrissy Teigen's pregnancy has given her a newfound confidence.

The 30-year-old model discussed her body in an interview with Cosmopolitan published Monday. Teigen is expecting her first child with husband John Legend, and told the magazine she's learned to embrace her changing shape.

"I really do feel more confident," the star said. "I keep telling everybody, there's no pressure anymore ... I'm never my most confident in a bikini on a beach, especially when you know people are looking at you and they expect one thing because of what they see in the magazines, and you might not look that way."

"I feel like rocking [a baby bump] more than ever because now is not the time for a six-pack," she added. "There is something very beautiful about being pregnant. I think I enjoy being pregnant more than not being pregnant. I know it could go either way and the next pregnancy could be the complete opposite."

Teigen announced her pregnancy in October, and later revealed she and Legend are expecting a daughter. The model confessed she's worried about her body changing after the birth, but said she's doing her best to stay fit and on a healthy routine.

"I'm doing everything I can to take really good care of myself right now," she shared. "Before I would go on a binge of eating crazy, hearty foods and not working off, and then I'll do something like Sports Illustrated and so I would work out like crazy for a month. Now I have more of a steady routine."

Teigen has been conversing with reality star Kim Kardashian, who lost 30 pounds in six weeks after welcoming her son Saint. Legend previously admitted Teigen "gets a little self-conscious" about her body, but told Us Weekly he finds his wife more beautiful than ever.

"You know it's weird when you're used to looking a certain way, and then all of a sudden you have this new thing growing inside you that changes the way you look," he acknowledged. "I told her before that I was always attracted to pregnant women ... so now I'm excited to be with a beautiful, pregnant woman."

Teigen and the 37-year-old singer have been together since 2007 and married in 2013. The model presently hosts Spike TV series Lip Sync Battle, which was renewed for a third season this month, while Legend last released Love in the Future in 2013.
