LOS ANGELES, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- In the upcoming thriller Money Monster, George Clooney plays charismatic, Jim Cramer-like Wall Street television commentator Lee Gates, who is taken hostage by a desperate citizen played by Unbroken actor Jack O'Connell. In the trailer, uploaded Tuesday, O'Connell's character puts a suicide vest on Clooney as his character's Mad Money-styled show broadcasts live.

Julia Roberts plays the show's producer, forced to take the lead in diffusing the potentially deadly situation as she remains just feet away from the bomb. The newly released trailer shows Robert's character holding back tears before calmly ordering her production crew to vacate the studio as fast and as calmly as possible.
The sneak peak teases a conspiracy-fueled plot including a deep look into the goings-on on Wall Street.
Actress Jodie Foster directs the TriStar Pictures film, set for a May 13 opening. The film also stars Dominic West, Giancarlo Esposito and Caitriona Balfe.
