KANSAS CITY, Mo., Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Nikki Ferrell is engaged to boyfriend Tyler Vanloo. The 29-year-old nurse announced the news with photos of Vanloo's proposal Monday, less than 15 months after her split from Season 18 Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis.

"And on the last day of vacation this happened! I can't wait to marry my best friend. Over the moon happy right now!" Ferrell captioned the post. The couple are reportedly longtime friends who reconnected in 2015.
"Nikki Ferrell is engaged," The Bachelor host Chris Harrison confirmed on the Season 20 premiere after-show, Bachelor Live, that evening. "She finally got the engagement she always dreamed of."
Ferrell won The Bachelor Season 18 in March 2014, but famously did not receive a proposal from Galavis on the finale. She and the 34-year-old retired soccer player continued to date into October 2014, when she reportedly initiated their split.
"It didn't end because we didn't love each other or [over] a lack of communication," she told Harrison on The Bachelor Season 19 premiere in January 2015. "It just ended because of a difference of lifestyle ... We gave it a good try, but we're two different people."
The Bachelor Season 20 features Ben Higgins, who placed third on The Bachelorette Season 11 with Kaitlyn Bristowe. The series airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET.
