LOS ANGELES, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Coco Austin says motherhood won't affect the way she dresses.
The 36-year-old television personality defended herself Sunday on Twitter after social media users criticized the dress she wore to her anniversary dinner with husband Ice-T.
"I keep reading these stupid articles & ppl commenting that when u become a mother u have to stop dressing sexy.. Oh please!" she wrote. "Me dressing the way I want to will not interfere with me raising my child ..be more concerned about the war or something more important."
Austin gave birth to daughter Chanel on Nov. 28, but was back in a skintight dress with cutouts for her 15th anniversary. Ice-T shared a photo of the pair at dinner, writing, "It's New Year's Eve & Coco and my 15th Anniversary. Happy 2016!!! Keep it gangsta."
Austin herself marked the occasion by telling fans, "I found my calling...... Motherhood!! #HappyNewYear." She added, "Thank u God & hubby for giving me a healthy, wonderful little girl! My dreams came true this yr! 2016 will be awesome!"
"I think I'm in that stage in my life where I need this," she previously told People of motherhood. "I've done everything in my life pretty much career-wise and I've been in a happy marriage for 15 years. It feels really, really good."
Austin and Ice-T married in 2001, and the 57-year-old actor is also father to 39-year-old daughter LeTesha and 23-year-old son Tracy Morrow, Jr., by previous partners. The couple posed with all three children for the family's holiday photos.
