LOS ANGELES, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Ruby Rose, known for her role in the third season of Orange Is The New Black, is no longer engaged to clothing designer Phoebe Dahl.

The model and actress alluded to the breakup on Twitter, posting a loving message to Dahl.

"@FAIRCLOTHSUPPLY remains very dear to my heart," Rose wrote. "I'm a better person because of all we shared."

In response, Dahl too wrote an amicable note on Twitter, saying "you have brought me to my best and I will always love you. I can't wait to see what the future brings for us."

Sources close to the couple say their relationship was strained by constant travel, People reports. The couple was engaged in March of 2014.

During an interview in June of this year, Rose discussed her gender fluidity with Elle Magazine. Saying, "For the most part, I definitely don't identify as any gender. I'm not a guy; I don't really feel like a woman, but obviously I was born one. So I'm somewhere in the middle which -- in my perfect imagination -- is like having the best of both sexes."

Of her engagement with Dahl at the time, Rose asserted plans to continue their joint clothing line, Scallywags, which was a gender-fluid, gender neutral brand.
