LOS ANGELES, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Khloe Kardashian is improving after contracting a staph infection last week.

The 31-year-old reality star updated fans on her health Tuesday on Twitter, writing, "I'm so blessed I'm doing better and my infection is healing. I was able to be out and about today... Quarantine is over lol."

Kardashian is believed to have contracted the infection while visiting estranged husband Lamar Odom in the hospital. The reality star thanked fans for their "prayers, well wishes and love" Saturday, promising she'll "be better very soon."

"Staph infection is no joke," she tweeted. "Mine was exacerbated by stress which is not a great combo. I'm under great medical care & receiving tons of love!"

Staph infections are caused by staphylococcus bacteria, and are sometimes contracted in hospitals. A source told People magazine Kardashian was "devastated" to not be able to visit Odom while she recovers from the infection.

Kardashian and Odom called off their impending divorce following the 36-year-old former NBA player's hospitalization, but the reality star later clarified they aren't romantically involved. She further explained her relationship with Odom on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last week.
