J. Cole visits fan battling cancer in North Carolina

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C., Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Rapper J.Cole cares about his fans. Last week, he visited Tae Stackhouse, a fan who is battling cancer, in a hospital in his hometown of Fayetteville, N.C.

Stackhouse mentioned the encounter on Facebook on Thursday, posting, "I really appreciate this just wanna give a big s/o to my mom and my aunt for bringing my favorite rapper to see me -- I'm proud to say that I'm blessed even tho I have cancer he told me to keep positive so that's what Ima do thanks j.cole ‪#‎RoleModel‬."

This summer, Cole showed a fan some love by attending her high school graduation and helping pay for her college tuition. He direct messaged her on Twitter after reading one of her posts, saying, "I read your letter twice now. You are so strong, i admire YOU. i will be at your graduation...only if you get into a 4 year University. go!"

The rapper uses his music to makes an impact on his fans and in 2013, he dedicated his video "Crooked Smile" to a Detroit girl shot by police officer.

Cole, who's last release 2014 Forest Hills Drive passed the million sales mark in September, was recently in the news for his remix of "Can I Kick It?" for the reissue of A Tribe Called Quest's 1990 debut LP, People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, in celebration of its 25th anniversary.
