ALEXANDRIA, Ind., Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Rory Feek announced that, despite his wife Joey Feek's terminal cancer, the duo will release an album on Valentine's Day.

Rory, 49, revealed the news on his website Monday, writing the project, Joey's Album, will be "filled with the hymns she grew up with."

"We recorded it in a studio in Nashville early in the summer -- just after recovering from her first big surgery in Chicago," Feek wrote. "And then she did her vocals where she could...in hotel rooms, our house, wherever and wherever she felt up to singing...This record means so much to her. It is the songs that are the most important to her."

Joey Martin Feek stopped treatment for aggressive cervical cancer in October and was admitted to hospice care in Indiana shortly after. She is mother to 20-month-old daughter Indiana, for whom she recorded a set of audio storybooks as a gift after her death.

Joey asserts her faith in God keeps her strong in the face of the terminal illness. "I'm doing all these alternative things and taking things I've never taken before," she said. "I'm doing all I can do to be more comfortable...I don't fear anything because I'm so close to God and we've talked about it so many times. I know he's close. And I know he loves me. I'm really at peace. I still believe there's healing in prayer."
