SAN ANTONIO, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Ozzy Osbourne returned to the Alamo this week, 33 years after his infamous peeing incident.

The 66-year-old English singer visited the historical site to film scenes for son Jack Osbourne's new travel show Thursday. Osbourne issued a private apology during his tour that will appear on the forthcoming series.

The Black Sabbath rocker was arrested drunkenly urinating on a monument to the Alamo dead outside the historical site in February 1982. He was initially banned from the Alamo for life, but later pardoned after donating $10,000 to the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

"Of course, there's the connection here that Ozzy Osbourne himself says he's not very proud of, but he made amends and I told him he's welcome here," councilman Roberto Trevino told the San Antonio Express-News.

"This city has embraced him, and we can forgive people," he added. The Daughters of the Republic of Texas, whose members played a major role in restoring the Alamo in the early 1900s, told KENS5 news they "applaud" Osbourne's apology.
