NEW YORK, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Jimmy Kimmel succumbed to the conditions of a lost bet between himself and actor Eric Stonestreet during Wednesday night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The bet surrounding this year's World Series between the New York Mets and Kansas City Royals consisted of the loser being shot with paintball guns from inside a bounce house for a full minute.

Kimmel, a Mets fan and loser of the deal, suited up in his favorite team's uniform to subject himself to the painful ordeal, which was carried out by Stonestreet, three Royals players, Seth Rogen and security guard Guillermo Rodriguez.

"I don't remember inviting them to shoot me," Kimmel said to Stonestreet, of the MLB players. "I remember you inviting them to shoot me."

The actual shoot out lasted 30 seconds after Stonestreet gave Kimmel a break. Still, the late night host spent most of the half-minute attack trying to hide from the hard-hitting paintballs.

"Thank you for having us and honoring your bet," player Jeremy Guthrie wrote on Instagram alongside a group photo from the Jimmy Kimmel Live set. "May the welts heal soon!"
