Victor Garber, Rainer Andreesen marry in Canada

The couple celebrated their 16th anniversary in July.

TOFINO, British Columbia, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Victor Garber and boyfriend Rainer Andreesen tied the knot over the weekend.

The 66-year-old Canadian actor and Andreesen, an artist and model, eloped to Tofino, B.C. Andreesen announced the news by sharing a photo with Garber on Instagram.

"YES WE DID! #justgotmarried #elopedintofino #canada @therealvictorgarber #after16years," he captioned the snapshot.

Garber and Andreesen have been together since July 1999. The actor first mentioned the artist to Forever Young News in April 2012, and later confirmed he is gay and in a relationship with Andreesen to blogger Greg Hernandez in January 2013.

Garber is known for playing Jack Bristow on ABC spy drama Alias, and portrayed Thomas Andrews and Ken Taylor in Titanic and Argo, respectively. The actor recently appeared as Firestorm on The CW series The Flash, and will star as the DC Comics character on Legends of Tomorrow.
