Chrissy Teigen is pregnant with her first child

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- Model and television personality Chrissy Teigen revealed via Instagram Monday that she and her husband, musician John Legend, are expecting their first child.

"John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant," Teigen said in the post, which accompanied a sweet photo of her reclining on a sofa while Legend is sitting up with his hand on her tiny baby bump.

"As many of you know, we've been trying to have a baby for a while now," Teigen explained. "It hasn't been easy, but we kept trying because we can't wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We're so excited that it's finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching!"

The couple -- who wed in 2013 -- have not disclosed the baby's gender or anticipated due date.
