AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- Actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested in Austin Friday night for alleged public intoxication.

TMZ reported LaBeouf was picked up and brought to the Travis County Jail after he was spotted by police acting oddly, running down a street and attempting to jaywalk.

The 28-year-old actor is in town for the Austin City Limits music festival.

He was previously arrested in June 2014 after causing a drunken disturbance at a performance of the Broadway musical Cabaret, starring Alan Cumming. A judge said that charge would be dropped if LaBeouf spent three months in treatment for substance abuse and demonstrated good behavior for six months after the incident, Variety said.

LaBeouf is a former child star who went on to appear in the films Disturbia, Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, Nymphomaniac and Fury.
