YouTube star Caleb Logan Bratayley remembered in live memorial service

NEW YORK, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Friends and family of popular YouTube star Caleb Logan Bratayley live streamed a memorial service in his honor Tuesday night, days after he was pronounced dead.

The Bratayley family livestreamed the event through Periscope, an app which broadcasts events live through smartphones and Facebook. The proceedings started with a tribute video featuring clips of birthdays, family vacations and Caleb meeting presidential hopefuls Carly Fiorina and Hillary Clinton.

Immediate family members did not speak publicly before the livestream ended but Caleb's cousin Paige gave a speech as did three of his former baseball coaches.

"I personally will always remember his smiles and his character," Logan's other baseball coach, Larry, said. "I hope we can all keep a little piece of Caleb with us. God bless him."

"The family is amazing and they are wonderful parents," said Paige. "Caleb knew how to light up a room...He was like a little brother to me. He loved life and enjoyed every little bit...He was a trouper."

On Tuesday, the family announced the livestream through their official Instagram account and shared details of Caleb's death writing, "Sadly, tests have confirmed today that Caleb passed away from an undetected medical condition. We'll have more definitive answers in the coming weeks but ask that you help us celebrate his life instead of focus on his death."

The autopsy for Caleb has been completed however the cause of death is still pending the medical examiner's office confirmed to E! News. Caleb's parents also confirmed to ABC News that the family has a history of a heart disease called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

On Friday, the Bratayley's uploaded a video montage of Caleb's most memorable moments from his family's vlog titled "Caleb, Gone But Never Forgotten."
