WASHINGTON, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- The latest trailer for Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger's joint project, a new HBO series about the 1970s rock 'n' roll scene, has been released.

Starring Bobby Cannavale as New York-based record producer Richie Finestra, the trailer for Vinyl chronicles the birth of rock 'n' roll hailed at the time as a new style of music that made people "feel something." The clip is accented with The Stooges' song "I Wanna Be Your Dog."

She reportedly reverts to her Bohemian lifestyle as her husband tries obsessively to relaunch his record company with a new sound. Actors Andrew Dice Clay, Ray Romano, and Mick Jageger's son, James, join Wild and Cannavale as the cast of Vinyl.

Penned by Boardwalk Empire and Sopranos screenwriter Terence Winter, the series will air on HBO in January.
