LOS ANGELES, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Model and actress Amber Rose publicly forgave famous ex-lovers Kanye West and Whiz Khalifa for "ignorant" comments made about her after their relationships ended.

Rose gave a tearful speech during her "SlutWalk" event Saturday recounting several times she was "slut-shamed," or degraded for expressing her sensuality or being perceived as sexual. The celebrity and former stripper forgave West for claiming he needed to take "30 showers" before pursuing now wife Kim Kardashian and Khalifa for calling her "nothing but a stripper" in his song "For Everybody."

"As you can imagine, him being the love of my life regardless if we're going through a separation or not, that was extremely hurtful," she said of Khalifa's song, during which he calls his ex a "stripper" and says he "fell out of love quicker." Rose forgave him explaining that the rapper and father to her son already apologized for the line.

Rose mentioned she pardoned West's comments because she wants to "let all of that negativity go."

"I suggest that you guys do the same," she said, addressing the large crowd of supporters. "They're ignorant at times. People are ignorant and you have to be the bigger person and be the positive person to forgive and move on and help other people around you that have been through the same thing."

Rose is a longtime advocate for gender equality and sexual equality, having recently released a Funny or Die collaboration clip called "Walk of No Shame," during which she walks home from a night spent having sex and is continuously praised by passersby.

Rose's SlutWalk event took place in Los Angeles over the weekend and stood as a defiant force against sexual violence, sexism and "slut-shaming."
