HOLLYWOOD, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Television personality Kyle Richards paid friends Ali Landry and her husband Alejandro Gomez Monteverde a visit after hearing news of their family members' death.

According to Us Weekly, Richards and her daughter, Portia, visited the mourning couple Thursday at their California home. The couple had scattered the ashes of Juan Manuel Gomez Fernandez, Landry's father-in-law, and Juan Manuel Gomez Monteverde, her brother-in-law, off the coast of Tampico, Mexico, on Wednesday.

A mass for the two men was planned for Friday at a Los Angeles church.

The former Miss USA's family members were kidnapped while leaving their Tampico, Tamaulipas, home and reported missing Sept. 4. They were later killed by their kidnappers, having reportedly sustained traumatic brain injuries. After the kidnapping, the Latin Times reports a ransom was paid, but the kidnappers did not return them, killing them instead.

Landry earned the Miss USA crown in 1996 and quickly became famous for being the Doritos Girl during the 1998 Super Bowl. She wed Monteverde in 2006 after a brief marriage to television personality Mario Lopez and has three children.
