MILAN, Italy, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Dolce & Gabbana released new ads featuring actress Sophia Loren this week.

The Italian star celebrated the launch of her very own lipstick for the luxury brand just one day after her 81st birthday. Loren turned 81 on Sunday, and looks as glamorous as ever in the new campaign.

The lipstick, dubbed Sophia Loren No. 1, is a semi-sheer shade that will retail for $37. Loren collaborated with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana on the product, which is subtly scented with D&G's signature rose fragrance.

"Sophia Loren No. 1 is our way of saying, 'Thank you, Sophia!'" the designers said in a statement. "Thank you for her beauty, thank you for being a world favorite, thank you for being an icon of the big screen and of Italian beauty. She has been a constant source of inspiration for us, and today we celebrate her with the gift of her very own lipstick."

"You must always, from somewhere at the bottom of your heart, firmly believe that your beauty is unique, special, and like nobody else's," the actress instructed in a behind-the-scenes video. "Never forget this, and learn to cultivate this conviction."
