LOS ANGELES, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- In a new teaser for this Sunday's I Am Cait, Kris and Caitlyn Jenner finally meet for the first time.

The long awaited and emotional encounter will see the former spouses try to resolve any lingering issues including Kris' feelings about their divorce and how they plan to continue to support their family together.

In the new clip released by the E! Network, Caitlyn is shown anticipating Kris's arrival eager to finally sit down with her one-on-one.

"I don't know if we'll resolve anything but I should probably get some things off my chest and probably her too," Caitlyn tells the cameras. "We've moved on, both of us, but I don't want to throw all of the good times away. And for the kids, Kendall and Kylie, I don't want tension. I don't want to put them in a tough position. This is really very, very difficult."

In August, E! released another sneak peak of the conversation showing Kris confronting the former Olympian saying "you're sensitive and amazing to all these new people in your life, you're just not so sensitive and amazing to the family that you left behind."

Kris then gets emotional exclaiming "when you feel like you gave your whole life to somebody and the sum of it all was you were a distraction....," Caitlyn quickly interjects and defends herself saying, "It was a distraction from the sense of who I was, it doesn't mean I didn't love you or the kids."

I Am Cait continues to give insight into Caitlyn Jenner's life with past episodes focusing on her sexuality and how she feels about dating men.

The upcoming episode where Kris and Caitlyn Jenner meet airs this Sunday, 8 p.m. (EST) on E!.
