WASHINGTON, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- Sarah Michelle Gellar celebrated 13 years of marriage with husband Freddie Prinze, Jr. on Instagram Tuesday.

In a heartfelt post featuring a throwback photo from the couple's wedding, Gellar wrote "13 years #happyanniversary 'I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me.'"

Gellar and Prinze married on Sept. 1, 2002 but it wasn't until their fifth anniversary that the Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress adopted her husband's name.

The couple, who starred in two Scooby-Doo movies together, are parents to two children: Charlotte Grace, 5 and Rocky James, 2.
