Actor Kevin Durand's wife Sandra gives birth to their first child

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- Lost and The Strain actor Kevin Durand has announced via Instagram the birth of his first child, a daughter.

"My wife @SandraDurand23 and I are so proud to announce that we became parents yesterday! Amélie Moon Durand is here! So grateful n Happy:-) #loveandgoodnesstoall," he captioned Tuesday's beautiful photo silhouette of him holding his swaddled newborn.

After his family was inundated with happy messages of congratulations, Durand tweeted: "Thank you kindly for all the well wishes. We are so grateful for all the love."
