LOS ANGELES, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Kanye West and wife Kim Kardashian recently won $440,000 over their leaked proposal video.

The 38-year-old rapper and 34-year-old reality star were awarded the substantial figure after settling with YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley. The pair sued the entrepreneur after he secretly recorded West's proposal and uploaded the footage to his app MixBit.

West put on a lavish display when he proposed to Kardashian at AT&T Park in October 2013. Hurley allegedly "tagged along with someone who was invited" and signed a confidentiality agreement, but the lawsuit will be dismissed in light of the settlement.

"My clients brought this case because they take confidentiality agreements seriously," the couple's lawyer, Eric George, told E! News. "With Mr. Hurley's settlement payment, we believe a fair and just outcome has been achieved."

West and Kardashian went on to marry in Florence, Italy, in May 2014. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter North West, prior to their engagement in June 2013, and are currently expecting their second child, a boy.
