LOS ANGELES, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Christina Aguilera celebrated daughter Summer Rain's first birthday Sunday. The 34-year-old singer and fiancé Matthew Rutler marked the occasion by posting sweet photos and messages on Instagram. Aguilera is also mother to 7-year-old son Max Liron by ex-husband Jordan Bratman.

"Happy 1st Birthday! My Sweet, Summer Rain," the star captioned a picture of the toddler with a pink balloon. Rutler shared his own snapshot, writing, "You light up life. Happy First Birthday, Summer."
Aguilera and Rutler met on the set of Burlesque in 2010, and got engaged in February 2014.The singer sat out on seasons 6 and 7 of NBC reality competition The Voice to care for Summer, but returned as a coach in season 8.
"It's the little things that are so amazing as a mom and just make me so happy and proud to be the mother of two beautiful, amazing, incredibly talented, lovely children," Aguilera said of her kids to People magazine in May.
Aguilera last released Lotus in November 2012, and is collaborating with fellow The Voice coach Pharrell Williams on her upcoming eighth studio album. The singer will once again be replaced by Gwen Stefani season 9 of The Voice.
