Karlie Kloss celebrates 23rd birthday by baking cake

NEW YORK, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Karlie Kloss celebrated her 23rd birthday Monday, August 3.

The model marked the occasion by baking a funfetti cake, and filmed the process for her YouTube channel. The video sees Kloss share 23 things she has learned in her 23 years, including "Hard work pays off" and "Choose happiness."

"Watching the sun set on a very special day," she later wrote on Instagram. "Feeling incredibly #grateful for all the love in my life. Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes.....looking forward to many adventures to be had and memories to be made in the 364 days to come."

Kloss received birthday love from best friend Taylor Swift on Instagram. The singer posted a throwback photo of the model and boyfriend Calvin Harris, writing, "Some of my best memories have been with this girl, laughing in the kitchen. Happy Birthday to the ray of light that is @karliekloss."

Kloss was a Victoria's Secret Angel from 2013 to 2015, and is also known for her modeling work with Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs and Dior. She and Swift covered the March issue of Vogue this year, and recently appeared together in the singer's "Bad Blood" music video.
