LONDON, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Britain's Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has earned an advanced diving certification, Kensington Palace confirmed.

The Telegraph said Middleton's expertise means she can now dive to a depth of 98 feet and keep up with her husband Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, who has been diving for most of his life and serves as president of the British Sub-Aqua Club.

"Diving is something the duchess very much enjoys, and the Duke of Cambridge, who is, of course, president of the BSAC, has said in the past that he is hopeful his children will become interested in the sport," a spokesman for Middleton told the newspaper.

Middleton gave birth to their second child, Princess Charlotte, in May. She and Prince William also have a 3-year-old son, Prince George.
