OKLAHOMA CITY, Calif., July 28 (UPI) -- John Cena got his nose broken by Seth Rollins during a live WWE Raw match July 27.

The superstar wrestler faced Rollins in the main event for the U.S. Championship. Early in the match, Cena took a knee to the face, spun backwards and fell to the ground.

Cena layed on the mat for a while as he held on to he face. When he got up, his nose was covered in blood.

"As the broken nose was not a scripted moment, something went wrong along the way," Entertainment Weekly reported.

WWE physician Dr. Steve Daquino confirmed Cena's injury on the programs's website saying that he suffered "a nasal fraction."

Though a nose injury is nothing to take lightly, Cena continued fighting and even went on to beat Rollins, raising his championship belt in bloody victory.
