Yolanda Foster posts photo in hyperbaric chamber for Lyme disease treatment

LOS ANGELES, July 7 (UPI) -- Yolanda Foster is opening up about her journey battling Lyme disease.

On Monday, Foster posted a photograph of herself in a hyperbaric chamber while wearing a sweater that says "Keep Smiling." She wrote, "Back at work........ #HyperbaricChamber #ChronicLymeDisease #DeterminedToFindACure"

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was diagnosed with the disease in 2012, the same year she joined the cast of the hit Bravo television show.

In June, Yolanda's husband, David Foster, gave E! News an update on his wife's condition.

"She's doing fair. She's just trying to work through it. You know, it's been a tough battle, but she's a fighter." He added, "She's got big balls, they're temporarily cut off, but they'll be back."

The mother of Gigi and Bella Hadid, who also had a successful career in modeling, posed for the August issue of W Magazine and admits, "I had much more glamorous plans for myself, obviously"

But since being diagnosed the 51-year-old has used her celebrity status to advocate Lyme disease awareness on Instagram.
