WASHINGTON, July 7 (UPI) -- Britain's most famous fictional spy, James Bond, may be embarking on a new adventure.

The suave spy, created by Ian Fleming, may be coming to the stage. Time reports Merry Saltzman, daughter of Bond producer Harry Saltzman, has acquired the rights to produce James Bond: The Musical.

Playbill has reported Jay Henry Clarke has signed on to write the score and Dave Clarke is set to write the book for the musical. Saltzman also said it would have its own original story line.

The play would have its own Bond girl, and combine former and new Bond villains. Saltzman would ideally like the musical to open for the 2017-18 season, either on Broadway or in Las Vegas. No casting announcements for the show or what it will specifically entail have been released.
