ASPEN, Colo., July 6 (UPI) -- Michael Eisner doesn't find most beautiful women funny.

The 73-year-old former Disney CEO said as much to Goldie Hawn at the Aspen Institute's annual Aspen Ideas Festival. The event featured 350 presenters, including Eisner and Hawn, who addressed pressing current issues over a week-long period.

"From my position, the hardest artist to find is a beautiful, funny woman," Eisner told the 69-year-old actress. "By far. They usually -- boy, am I going to get in trouble, I know this goes online -- but usually, unbelievably beautiful women, you being an exception, are not funny."

The businessman's remarks set off a firestorm on social media, with many calling his comments sexist. Hawn shared a photo with Eisner from the session on Twitter, writing, "Perfect hour spent with Michael!" and the former CEO also posted pictures through his foundation.

Hawn is known for such comedies as Cactus Flower and Bird on a Wire, and established The Hawn Foundation in 2003. The organization provides learning programs for children, while The Eisner Foundation serves underprivileged kids in Los Angeles.
