PHILADELPHIA, July 6 (UPI) -- A U.S. District judge on Monday unsealed court documents revealing a deposition Bill Cosby gave in 2005 saying he gave Quaaludes to a woman with whom he wanted to have sex.

The documents stem from a 2005 civil lawsuit brought against Cosby by a woman who accused the comedian of drugging her and sexually assaulting her in Pennsylvania.

The case was dismissed a year later and Cosby never faced charges for the woman's allegations. The case documents were sealed until the Associated Press sued to have them released.

U.S. District Judge Eduardo Robreno in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on Monday ordered the documents unsealed. Among them were references to a deposition Cosby gave in which he admitted he obtained Quaaludes in order to give them to women with whom he intended to have sex.

In one line of questioning, an investigator asks Cosby, "When you got the Quaaludes, was it in your mind that you were going to use these Quaaludes for young women that you wanted to have sex with?"

Cosby answered "yes." His lawyer prevented him from answering whether he then gave the drug to any women without their knowledge.

But Cosby later said he did give the drugs to one woman he met in the 1970s in Las Vegas.

"She meets me back stage. I give her Quaaludes. We then have sex," Cosby says.

Crosby has faced a number of allegations in the past year that he drugged women and forced them to have sex with him. He has not faced any criminal charges for the alleged crimes because they are outside the statute of limitations.
