NEW YORK, Calif., June 30 (UPI) -- Chrissy Teigen recently went topless for W magazine.

The 29-year-old model posed for the "Privacy Settings" spread in the publication's August issue. Teigen and nine other models with large social media followings stripped down to show a side of themselves not normally seen online.

"The most uncomfortable I've ever been was having to model coats, so I'm the most comfortable in my own skin, literally," Teigen said. "Just my own skin. I don't know what it is, but I think sometimes pieces of clothing can be unflattering ... I actually am better in less clothing."

Teigen shared a photo from the shoot Monday on Instagram, but the picture was removed due to the site's no-female-nipples policy. The model attempted to work around the ban by re-posting the snapshot with various filters, but the images were all taken down.

"The nipple has been temporarily silenced but she will be back, oh yes, she will be back," she wrote in response on Twitter.

Teigen is known for her work with Sports Illustrated and has also appeared in Vogue, Esquire and Cosmopolitan. She and LL Cool J currently co-host Spike TV series Lip Sync Battle, which was renewed for a second season in April.
