DETROIT, June 2 (UPI) -- Eminem's long-awaited "Phenomenal" track has hit the web. After hearing a snippet featured in the Southpaw back in March, and in a Beats by Dre ad, fans have patiently waited for the full song.

The song was produced by Dj Khalil and co-written by brothers Luis and Mario Resto and is just one of the many songs Slim Shady will be contributing to the movie as he is executive producing the movie's soundtrack.

The rapper was set to play the lead in Southpaw, but dropped out to focus on his music, he was later replaced by Academy-Award winner Jake Gyllenhaal.

The upcoming movie is loosely based on Eminem's (real name Marshall Mathers) early life struggles. The story follows a boxer overcoming his demons after his wife dies and looses custody of his child.

In a recent interview with MTV, Southpaws' screenwriter, Kurt Sutter, mentions the correlation between the rapper and Gyllenhaal's character. "I love that the title refers to Marshall being a lefty, which is to boxing what a white rapper is to hip-hop; dangerous, unwanted and completely unorthodox," Sutter said. "It's a much harder road for a southpaw than a right-handed boxer."
