NEW YORK, May 28 (UPI) -- Comedy Central has announced that host Jon Stewart's Daily Show replacement, Trevor Noah, will make his debut Sept. 28.

In a new video released on Comedy Central, Noah is seen getting comfortable in Stewart's chair on the show's set -- rehearsing possible jokes until he notices Stewart looming behind him.

The South African-born comedian, 31,appeared on The Daily Show as a contributor several times before being named Stewart's official successor. When news broke in March that he was signing on to the show, Noah took to Twitter to express his excitement, saying although he could not replace Stewart, he would help continue making The Daily Show the best it can be.
