LOS ANGELES, May 27 (UPI) -- Tatum O'Neal says she isn't bisexual or homosexual, but does enjoy dating women. The 51-year-old actress told People in a candid interview, "I like women...I think women are the most amazing creatures on Earth."

"They're gentle, and also more intelligent than the men that I've met recently. I don't have a steady right now, but I look forward to it," she said.
O'Neal struggled with substance abuse in the past, but told the magazine that she is in a good place. "I'm the most content I've ever been," she said in the interview -- which centered around her son Kevin McEnroe and his new novel Our Town.
"I'm the proudest mother in the history of the world," she said.
O'Neal was married to tennis athlete John McEnroe between 1986 and 1994. She and McEnroe senior have three children together including Kevin, 29.
The young author's book tells the fictional tale of his grandmother Joanna Moore's life and struggle with pill addiction. He told People on a separate occasion that writing the book helped him come to terms with his family history and his own struggles with substance abuse.
