LONDON, May 26 (UPI) -- While visiting the BBC Radio 1 studios over the weekend, Taylor Swift admitted that tour life is a lot easier than pop-stars make it out to be.

The "Bad Blood" singer started her 1989 World Tour on May 5 in Tokyo.

When she spoke to radio-show host Nick Grimshaw, she said: "Sometimes I really don't think it's that hard at all. When I was starting out I'd go on tour for three months and I was gone for three months. Now almost 10 years in, thank God we get to play bigger shows so I don't have to play as many."

Two or three stadium shows a week are no problem for the 25-year-old singer, it's leaving behind a couple of her furry friends that she struggles with. "I do have to leave the cats behind when I leave the country, which is the hardest part," she said.

While Olivia Benson and Meredith Grey's mom is globetrotting around the world, she says, "That's the best part of this [touring], when you walk off stage and you're drenched in sweat and you're tired and your legs hurt. It feels like you're really working for the job."

Her mother, Andrea, who is battling cancer went to support Swift at her first concert in Japan.

On Saturday the singer tweeted that even her mom says the "Blank Space" lyrics sound like "lonely Starbucks lovers" instead of "got a long list of ex-lovers."
