ANAHEIM, Calif., May 26 (UPI) -- Fashion retailer PacSun was hit with backlash Monday after some customers deemed a featured product 'disrespectful' and 'disgraceful' in the face of Memorial Day. In response, the store removed it from its shelves.
The product, a Worldwide A$AP brand t-shirt portraying a grayscale, upsidedown American flag, was reportedly highlighted on the store's website and Facebook page to promote its holiday sale. When some customers saw it, they quickly made their distaste known on the company's website. The California-based retailer released a statement Monday night regarding the issue:
