Amal Clooney stuns in gold gown at 'Tomorrowland' premiere

TOKYO, May 26 (UPI) -- Amal Clooney turned heads on the red carpet Monday.

The 37-year-old Lebanese-British barrister stole the spotlight from husband George Clooney in a silk Maison Margiela dress by John Galliano at the Tokyo premiere of Tomorrowland.

The new Disney movie stars George Clooney as an inventor who explores a futuristic dimension with a gifted teenager (Britt Robertson). The film opened in theaters Friday, and topped the North American box office over the weekend.

Clooney and George Clooney married in Venice, Italy in September 2014. The 54-year-old actor was previously wed to Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993, and declared Clooney "an amazing human being" and "one of the smartest people [he's] ever met" earlier this month.

Clooney was named a visiting professor at Columbia Law School in March. George Clooney is scheduled for Jodie Foster drama Money Monster with Julia Roberts and Coen brothers comedy Hail, Caesar! with Scarlett Johansson.
